Palliative Care Australia is the peak national organisation representing the interests and aspirations of all who share the ideal of quality care at the end of life for all.

Palliative Care Australia is an incorporated body whose members are the eight state and territory palliative care associations and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine. The membership of these associations includes palliative care service providers, clinicians, allied health professionals, academics, consumers and members of the general community.

Governor-General emphasises importance of end-of-life care

In a letter of support for a new Palliative Care Australia publication, the Governor-General, Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC, Patron of Palliative Care Australia said, “I see palliative care as an assurance to our society, at the deepest level, that we are honouring our value for the worth and dignity of every human being”.
